Oregon's new Explore Health marketplace is open for 2027 plans
The Daily Salem team
If you buy your own health insurance, there's a new place to shop. The Oregon Health Authority's Explore Health officially launched Nov. 1 and replaces HealthCare.gov. Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs through Jan. 15, 2027.
Already have 2026 coverage through HealthCare.gov? You're being moved over to Explore Health. You don't need a whole new application, but claim your new account, sign in, review your information and compare plans. If you're on the Oregon Health Plan, OHP Bridge, Medicare or employer coverage, you generally don't need to enroll. Miss the deadline and you generally wait for the next enrollment period, unless you qualify for a special one.
