Open Enrollment runs from Nov. 1 to Jan. 15

  1. Nov. 1 launches and begins
  2. Dec. 31Recommended enrollment date for coverage starting Jan. 1, 2027
  3. Jan. 15Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage ends

If you buy your own health insurance, there's a new place to shop. The Oregon Health Authority's officially launched Nov. 1 and replaces HealthCare.gov. for 2027 coverage runs through Jan. 15, 2027.

Already have 2026 coverage through HealthCare.gov? You're being moved over to Explore Health. You don't need a whole new application, but claim your new account, sign in, review your information and compare plans. If you're on the Oregon Health Plan, OHP Bridge, Medicare or employer coverage, you generally don't need to enroll. Miss the deadline and you generally wait for the next enrollment period, unless you qualify for a special one.

Today I’m celebrating 7 YEARS CLEAN!

“💜 On November 1, 2019, I began a journey that changed my life. Today, I’m taking a moment to recognize the work it has taken to get here. Recovery hasn’t made life perfect, but this milestone means so much to me. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and the life I’m building. I’m sharing with my neighbors because we don’t…”

The Wrap

Some very good dogs got a sweet surprise at Oregon Humane in southeast Salem. A Salem-area Girl Scout troop visited on Oct. 29 to celebrate its new dog cookie, Patch Pals, and the six scouts, ages 7 to 10, fed the blueberry-muffin-flavored treats to the dogs. Tails were surely wagging.
