- ➤ After misinformation made rural homeowners worry about rising premiums and falling home values, state lawmakers repealed the wildfire risk map—over 6,000 property appeals spurred the move. - ➤ At its August 25 meeting, the Salem City Council asked the Salem Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for advice on the no-mow/restoration program at Bush’s Pasture Park’s Upper Oak Grove to balance habitat restoration with visitor safety.
