- ➤ On June 9, the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2025 Business Awards at the Salem Convention Center where six local groups were honored for their work. Cascade Tire Pros won Business of the Year, Pac/West Lobby Group was named Employer of the Year, Bison Dump earned New Business of the Year, the Oregon State Fair & Expo Center took a nonprofit award, and Azucena’s Cleaning won Small Business of the Year—showing that Salem’s business community is strong. - ➤ The People’s Union USA, led by John Schwarz, has launched a boycott of McDonald’s from today until June 30, accusing the fast food chain of token DEI efforts—putting profit over people and exploiting tax loopholes.
