Salem's fourth annual holiday parade lit up downtown on Nov.

29 with festive dancers, marching bands, and hundreds of thousands of lights—drawing cheers from locals. Mayor Julie Hoy and Santa lit a Christmas tree to officially start the holiday season.

Salem Housing Authority will accept applications for Parkway West two and three-bedroom apartments from December 6 at 9 a.m. to December 21 at 11:59 p.m.—the property on 7th Place NE has rents from $690 to $1,020 and accepts Section 8 vouchers.
