- ➤ State data released Thursday shows that more than 15,000 Salem and Keizer students were chronically absent last school year, with only 57% attending at least 90% of the time—well below the state average. - ➤ New state data showed that 87% of Oregon ninth graders were on track to graduate during the 2024-25 school year—yet nearly 35% of students were chronically absent, missing at least three weeks of class.
