Rogue Ales & Spirits closed its Newport operations and its new Rogue Salem Public House in West Salem on Nov 14 due to heavy debt including $545,000 in back rent and $30,000 owed in taxes—employees received an 8 a.m. message and are now without work.

Over 200 Englewood Elementary students and teachers marked Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day on November 14—using purple pom-poms, flags and handmade signs—while learning about civil rights and promoting inclusion through lessons and a prerecorded message from Bridges.
