  • A 16-year-old, not a student of McKay High School, was arrested near the campus with a concealed knife after security reported a possible weapon.  Salem Reporter

  • Nick Hunter and Mark Garton are leading their respective sheriff races in Marion and Polk counties, while other local elections also show incumbents and a new circuit court judge candidate with significant leads.  Salem Reporter
