- ➤ Veterans Day events around the Mid-Valley will include a ceremony in Salem at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 by the Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs, a parade in Albany starting at 11:11 a.m., concerts at Willamette University on Nov. 8 and 9, and a fundraiser dinner at the Salem Convention Center at 6 p.m. Nov. 11—there will be no flyovers this year due to a government shutdown.
