On Nov 1, the Lord’s Cupboard food pantry at Trinity United Methodist Church at 590 Elma Avenue S.E. saw a notable rise in visitors as the federal shutdown delayed food benefits for many local residents.
The church, which served 200 people compared to 116 last month, plans to expand service before Thanksgiving — urging residents to donate and volunteer.
🏛️ Government
The Oregon Department of Forestry filed a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on November 1 to propose a new Forest Management Plan that will replace the three current plans—Northwest, Southwest and Elliott.
Public comments are accepted until January 31 and hearings are set for January 13 virtually, January 15 in Forest Grove, January 20 in Tillamook and January 22 in Eugene at 5:30 p.m.
