  • Macleay Road SE in southeast Salem will be closed to westbound traffic for two weeks starting Monday to facilitate local road works, with detours and local access maintained.  Statesman Journal

  • Two Salem attorneys, David Carlson and Michelle Vlach-Ing, are competing in the Nov. 5 election for an open Marion County Circuit Court judge position.  Salem Reporter
  • Oregon voters will decide on Measure 119, which seeks to facilitate unionization for cannabis workers by requiring businesses to submit a labor peace agreement.  Statesman Journal
  • The Salem City Council will decide on allotting $6.1 million for over 60 new positions, preparing for the switch from Falck Northwest to city-managed ambulance services by July 2025.  Statesman Journal
  • Oregon's Measure 118 aims to increase corporate taxes for businesses with sales over $25 million to fund a universal basic income program, providing a potential $1,600 to residents, amidst mixed opinions and significant campaign funding on both sides.  Statesman Journal
