- ➤ Salem community leaders are launching a campaign to transform the city into a destination for art and music by planning five new murals and hosting live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday — the plan will use $30,000 in local funds and matching contributions to pay artists and musicians — with public meetings scheduled soon to form a Cultural Improvement District downtown. - ➤ Marion County Health & Human Services is moving its Behavioral Health Crisis Center to a newly renovated facility at 1234 Commercial Street SE in Salem as it marks its 30th anniversary of service.
