More than half of Salem-Keizer elementary schools are operating under 75% capacity this year, with one school showing less than 60% enrollment, and officials plan to consider closing up to eight schools in 2027 (Brush College Elementary is one example).

Salem officials shared advice on building a go-bag for wildfire evacuations today.
