GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lawmakers reached a compromise on a transportation funding package after a rocky start in the special session, with the deal ending the payroll tax increase and raising gas, registration, and title fees to support road projects. The House will vote on the bill today and the Senate is expected to vote later this week — public testimony and amendments on Sunday helped shape the proposal. Salem Reporter
