Salem-Keizer Public Schools spent $620 million to ease overcrowding, expand career and technical education and upgrade 27 schools with improved security and earthquake retrofits.
Officials may propose a new general obligation bond this spring so voters could decide as early as May 2027.
Salem city councilors sent messages to Wallace Marine Park residents, stressing care and urging the use of local outreach as cleanup plans move forward.
They noted few shelter options exist + urged a careful pace to avoid pushing residents into unsafe conditions.
