- ➤ Marion Polk Food Share in Salem received $6 million from the Oregon legislature last month to support a new warehouse as its current 30,000 square foot space can no longer meet rising demand amid federal cuts to food access programs. The food bank plans to move into a 65,000 to 100,000 square foot facility to combine food banking and Meals on Wheels operations — an upgrade expected to improve service to the community. - ➤ Eric M. Banks, a temporary mental health worker, pleaded no contest in February after punching a patient in March and had his charges dropped by Judge Audrey Broyles, who said unsafe hospital conditions made it unfair to push for revoking his license. Salem Reporter
