Retired McMinnville doctor John Nelson, reported overdue on July 7, was found alive and stable in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness on Friday, July 10 at 10:22 a.m. following a search led by Marion County Sheriff's Office — neighboring teams joined the effort after his disappearance.
