Oregon law allows legal consumer fireworks year-round in most areas but restricts their use on public lands and in cities with local bans.

Salem residents may use consumer fireworks after the Fourth provided they follow local rules to avoid fines.

During inspections conducted June 13-18, Salem restaurants and nearby establishments reported minor violations such as warm salad mix (found at Doubletree) and unclean knives (observed at Le Petit Bistro), with officials noting that restaurants scoring below 70 may face reinspection within 30 days.
