- ➤ After 12 people were stabbed on June 1 and Tony Latrell Williams was arrested, the Union Gospel Mission of Salem added new security at its downtown men's shelter with 24/7 locked doors, a bag check process, and plans to test a metal detector—while guest numbers remain steady. Statesman Journal
- ➤ At about 12:21 a.m. June 27, 2025, Oregon State Police responded to a road rage incident on Interstate 5 southbound in Marion County when a firearm was discharged from a Dodge Journey—a driver wearing a ski mask fired at a 2010 black Nissan Maxima with no injuries reported and the Dodge Journey later exited the highway while authorities seek public help. 1430 KYKN
