- ➤ Yesterday, families, veterans & community members gathered at Restlawn Cemetery to honor fallen soldiers at a Memorial Day ceremony. The event featured flag presentations, musical tributes and the placing of blood roses as a mark of remembrance. Statesman Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Salem-Keizer Public Schools start summer break on June 10 for K-5 and June 11 for older students; other districts in Oregon also plan their vacations for early-to-mid June through August. Statesman Journal
- ➤ Nearly 3,000 Salem-Keizer Public Schools seniors and families will celebrate graduation from May 30 to June 5 at ceremonies held at high schools and the Oregon State Fairgrounds, with events broadcast live on Capital Community Media’s YouTube page. Statesman Journal
