- ➤ Gov. Tina Kotek’s plan to improve school performance got approval from the State Board of Education. The blueprint sets new targets for reading, math, on-time graduation and attendance in public schools by the 2029-2030 school year and lets districts set their own growth goals. Salem Reporter

- ➤ Salem recognized National Fentanyl Awareness Day yesterday and launched the Prevent, Treat, Enforce Toolkit to help local leaders, service providers & community partners map resources, fill gaps and boost coordinated substance use efforts.
