Good morning, Salem. Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 28th of April.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Salem Reporter is trying to reach a $5,000 goal in the next 30 days to support two summer interns from Oregon State University and the University of Oregon — they will receive hands-on training in news reporting. The newsroom will use the donations to boost coverage on issues like food insecurity and health care — a move that strengthens ethical, independent journalism in Salem.  Salem Reporter
