🎭 Culture
The Salem Historic Landmarks Commission invites photographers of all levels to join its 12th annual Historic Photo Contest by submitting up to three photos taken in Salem by April 30 for a chance to win prizes; winners will be chosen at the May 21 meeting with awards given on June 18 - entries will be displayed at the Willamette Heritage Center this summer.

Last Friday night, the Salem Capitals opened season five at the Armory with 1,027 fans.
The team lost 113-90 to the Seattle SuperHawks — a game that featured family timeout activities and post-game high-fives.
