Keizer held a dedication ceremony on Feb.

7 for Oregon’s first Gold Star Families Memorial Monument at Keizer Station, unveiling a granite tribute with four panels and a saluting service member silhouette as Gold Star families laid yellow roses to honor their loved ones+ a local veteran noted its significance.

Lively Station is opening a new site in the Willamette Heritage Center this spring, taking over the former Taproot Old Mill Cafe space; it will serve healthy lunch options including grab-and-go menus for local workers, students (and residents) Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
